The Argentine writer even wrote the foreword to Casares’s work, such was his love and devotion to the book. Casares takes us to an island with a mysterious building. The year is 1924. A diary written by a fugitive, withdrawn into himself, who falls in love with an impassive woman will serve as the link and central thread of a plot where philosophy, unreality and the constant interplay of mirrors—between what we see and what we believe we see—come together to put the reader to the test.
