A GREAT COLLECTION OF MASTERS FROM THE 19TH AND 20TH CENTURIES

Many of the works by the great masters of the 19th and 20th centuries exhibited at the modernist Casa Can Prunera belong to the Pere Serra Art Collection, the soul of this artistic home. A man who loved art, life, and culture.

In the hallways and rooms of Can Prunera, Joan Miró, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, Miquel Barceló, Pablo Picasso, Santiago Rusiñol, Paul Gauguin, Giorgio de Chirico, Andreu Maimó, Henri Matisse, Nicolás de Staël, Henry Moore, Hermann Nitsch, Juli Ramis, Aligi Sasu, José María Sicilia, Lin Utzon, and many, many others await your gaze.

In the garden, sculptures by Jaume Mir, Llorenç Rosselló, Enrique Broglia, José Seguiri, Juan Martínez Lax, and José Luis Sánchez give meaning to this way of living, being, and existing in the world.

Thanks to this great collection, Can Prunera has become an essential landmark of contemporary art in Mallorca and the Balearic Islands, because, as Oscar Wilde wrote:

“Art cannot be abandoned, left behind, and then taken up again, for it is essential to life.”
